At long last, the official Japanese Pokemon website has announced that Sendai City of Miyagi Prefecture will be getting its very own Pokemon Centre for all the all the Pokemon fans in the Tohoku region to enjoy. The PC will be placed in the tallest building in the Tohoku Region known as Sendai's Aer Skyscraper. Since there are already PCs in Nagoya, Fukuoka, Yokohama, Sapporo, Tokyo, and Osaka, this will be Japan's Seventh Pokemon Centre.

The noble goal of this establishment is to support and bring Children together that were hit by the Japanese Earth Quake Higashi Nihon Daishinsai on March 11th. It is in fact part of the "POKEMON with YOU" disaster support initiative. It's known for hosting children's events, giving away free Pokemon merchandise and raising money for children's charities. It's said that the aim of this place is for children to come together and forget their troubles with the aid of Pokemon.

Pokemon Centres sell a wide variety of merchandise including games, toys and various other Pokemon-themed products like clothes and dishes because we all want to eat of a Snorlax's stomach.

I did look into it, by the way, to find out that this is another Pokemon Centre that does not provide 10 year olds with starting Pokemon to begin their journey into adulthood. Once again it looks like we'll have to wait another few years. I may not get my Gardevoir but I hope my children will.
