A classic is coming to America: the first season of the 1971 Lupin III TV series has been licensed by Discotek, which'll release the whole thing on DVD in America next spring. This is the series that Hayao Miyazaki helmed; in fact, he directed over half of this season's episodes.

It's cheesy, it's over-the-top, it has ridiculously cheap animation. And it's Lupin.
