Word's been spreading about a new Fafner anime work, and sure enough, at a recent event, Fafner; Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth was announced. It'll be a film, shipping on September 21 on DVD and Blu-Ray.

I remember when Fafner was released in America, to a great chorus of crickets. Nobody seemed to have any interest in Fafner, and I never heard about any Japanese interest. But according to the ANN article, there's a stage play (?!?) that'll be returning in December for a new season with a new cast and "scaled-up production." Apparently somebody likes it.
