So I know we all like anime here, but is anyone else here watching Breaking Bad , the best show on the air right now? The fourth season just finished on Sunday and it has just kept getting better as it goes on.
For the uninitiated, the show follows Walter White, a brilliant but underachieving high-school chemistry teacher who gets news one day that he has terminal lung cancer. With a dire prognosis of only a few months to live combined with having financial woes and another child on the way, he decides to begin cooking meth in order to leave his family enough money behind after he dies.
The premise sounds fairly grim, but the show has a surprising amount of black humor mixed in with the brilliant drama to keep things from getting too heavy.
I'd recommend it to anyone (the opening scene of the first episode will hook you immediately, guaranteed) looking for an excellent show, and would love to discuss it with anyone else. Be mindful of spoilers though, if you would.
