About
Otaku, No Video is a YouTube channel that's...well, it's a lot of things. I post a variety of videos, including archives of live streaming shows. In addition, each week I post:
- An anime review
- A primer on basic anime terms and history or a video digging deeper into a particular show.
I strive to provide useful information in my reviews, not just personal opinion. I actually try to avoid value words like "good" or "bad;" I describe what's in the show and why I liked it (or didn't like it). I compare anime to other film genres, literature, and completely different fields.
In other words, I go deeper.
I work to analyze anime and manga on many dimensions, including art direction, writing, cinematography, character design, animation, use of clichè and motifs, music, and voice acting (among others).
Otaku, No Video used to be a podcast, but that was discontinued after our YouTube channel took off. You can still listen to all our old shows on the Podcast Archive page.
Brent is the the man behind it all.
