Otaku, No Video
Analyzing anime and its industry

About

Otaku, No Video is the deeper anime podcast, in which an independent filmmaker, a student filmmaker, and an animation fan discuss anime for about an hour.

It's more than that, though. We explain why. We don't just say that something's good or bad; we explain why we think that way. We compare anime to other film genres, literature, and completely different fields.

In other words, we go deeper.

We also talk about anime industry trends, talking about the impact of news stories and events on the industry as a whole. Other podcasts talk about anime now; we talk about what that will mean for anime's future.

And we don't spend the first two minutes playing music, and the next minute complaining about technical difficulties. We give you content half a minute in, and we keep providing it.

Saalon is the independent filmmaker.

Nick is the student filmmaker.

Brent is the animation fan.
